No excuses when you have this!

This is a panoramic view of my home gym...weight set (a gift from my hubby on the left, elliptical and treadmill
This is the weight bench set...it is sweet! It barely clears the ceiling.

I have a complete gym so I have no excuses not to work out. Up until about June last year, I was working out here about 5 times a week. The best streak I had was when I was getting up early, before the kiddies woke up, and getting my workout done first thing. For some reason, summer is harder for me to hit the weights. Then in July I discovered Power Yoga! Love it...it's a full body workout...intense and in a heated room...a good sweat. Throughout the summer, I was going to yoga about 3 times a week, biking and keeping up with the kiddies.

I'm still going to yoga about twice a week. And last month I got my ass back in gear and back in to my weight training routine. I really have no excuses. Any excuse I can come up with will now be deemed "LAME". Even If I just have 20 minutes, I can get so much done.

My January routine:
weight training 3x per week - Push day/ Pull day/ Leg day
Cardio HIIT training on treadmill or elliptical - 3x per week
Power yoga - 2 x per week

I'm back to clean eating again and I feel so much better. It's a good start!

I went back to the gym this morning and did 65mins on the elliptical. My greatest fear is when I am jobless, i will slip into laziness without the comfort of a free, nearby gym.

I'm sure you'll do great. Having a home gym must be very convenient. Of course, self-motivation and discipline are the real trick, right. :)

Perhaps it's just my youthful inexperience and/or ignorance... but I can't figure out how to send messages! That being said, to find the secret location of my secret blog, you'll have to e-mail me (dylanunscripted@hotmail.com). That is, of course, unless you find a way to send me a message on here.

Either way - I'm extremely jealous of your weight room. In fact, I just drooled a little. I am not ashamed. I'm that jealous.

Hi there! I can't remember how I found your site-but I've checked it out a few times and just wanted to say good for you on the great attitude! If more people would say -even if I can only do 20 minutes-I'll do it- we'd have allot more fit people in the world!
Good for you! Great way to start the new year!

What a fabulous set up! I would like to think that I would be so good about my exercise if I had all that, but I feel that I would still be fighting myself to even go down the stairs! You do your thing, girl! I shall take inspiration from you! ((HUGS))
